I have a 1986 T3 with tony schick turbo conversion (OG 1980's upgrade)
The handbrake cable has broken and it has the upgraded rear disk brakes with an internal drum brake for the parking brake - I think this was a Schick upgrade option in the 1980's ? I am finding it difficult to discover what these style of brakes are from - possibly the same as Oettinger ? does anyone have a suggestion what VW model they might have been from ? A mechanic commented they were T4 style but I can't find any reference to T4 rear disk brakes with internal drums also?

any help would be very good !

thanks

there is a suggestion that this is 944 style as it is 5x112 - investigating more :)

I remember trying to find the shoes for an Oetinger and gave up.
Hours pouring over brake data books, fruitless.
I seem to remember Charlie saying maybe they were from a trailer?
I have the notes at work, somewhere but over a decade ago... 😂

advice from a german owner of another schick bus says it is oettinger and they used BMW e32 rear parts - they look super similar but the e32 spec says it is 5x120 PCD rather than 5x112 - the adventure continues ....
