Hi everyone does anybody know about the Mercedes Unimog brake regulator. There is an "extra" spring which is adjustable on the lever I am presuming that to use this reg on an LT1 you remove this spring and just use the original VW spring and longer lever as presumably the pressure is higher on the Unimog and therefore the extra spring is needed.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Best regards,
Derek Wilson.

Hi Derek, The data from Wabco suggests the regualtors are almost the same. I would just use the old LT lever arm and spring but delete the extra unimog spring. It'll help to mark the position of the spring nut attached to the axle so it's replaced in same position. There is a guide on how to set the spring position correctly in one of the manuals if you want to be sure. Hope that helps.

Hi,
Thanks for your response I figured that might be the story but just wanted to hear it from someone else.
I have tried to get a reply from Wabco USA without any luck so far where did you get info from them?
Many thanks,
Best regards Derek.

I think that it is one of the threaded fittings which is different.

There are a couple of people supplying kits for DIY refurbishment  or a chap on ebay.de who does an exchange. LT Doctor, I think.
