I had a £1300 kenwood top of the range touch screen taken out today as it
did not select options when you rang up companies.the manager   w as
reluctant to give me my money back eventhough it had only been in A few
hours.eventually i got my money back after purchasing a parrot bluetooth
hands free. i spoke to my mate and explained that the fitter said the key has
to be in the ignition and turned on.THIS IS WRONG AS I SUSPECTED THIS
FIRM IS WIRING UP LOADS OF VEHICLE INCORRECTLY.MY MATE EXPLAINED
WHEN THE KEY IS PUT IN THE IGNITION IT SWITCHES ON A LIVE FEED THESE
CLOWNS ARE SAYING IT IS CORRECT TO HAVE THE FACIA AND DIALS
TURNED ON EVERYTIME YOU WANT TO USE IT USELESS WANKERS DONT
KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.MY MATE IS GOING TO CHECK WITH VW TO
SEE HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE THIS COULD INVALIDATE VW WARRANTY IN
SOME WAY

im thinking of fitting a kenwood kvt-729 dvd with  kca-bt100, so you cannot use your fone on bluetooth without the stereo tuened on at the ignition, would it be better for me to ditch the kca-bt100 and put the money to a parrot fone kit?  cheers

sorry for the slow responce having net ag.the only easy way to sort this hands free problem is to have a hands free kit fitted which means buying a new nokia phone which cost £70 PLUS ANOTHER £200 TO HAVE IT FITTED.i wouldnt recommend the kenwood as it aint value for money compared to pioneer.i have a parrot fitted but will be getting a hands free phone kit fitted at some stage cheers gason
