are my spindles  worn / bolloxed ?.....took the van for a mot today , was raining on the way there and wipers were working fine .....went back 2 hrs later and although the TWATS!! HAD NOT MOVED OR LOOKED AT MY VAN!!....i had to take it without new mot , and only one wiper arm worked on way home .....it took less than a quarter of a turn to tighten them both , now they work fine again???

Remove arms, get a pin/stanley blade and clean all the bits of ally from the splines on the spindles.
