Hi all,

Now the LT is back on the road I'm tackling few other jobs - does anyone know if you can get window rubber kits for Mk1 LTs? Mine is a 1980 LT 28 and I'm after two front door window rubbers.

Cheers,

Paul

I think they are they same as t3 but that may but not sure. They may need trimming.

A part number would be good though, always helps.Thumbs Up

Try 'Searching' top right, I am sure there has been a thread already.

Thanks - yes I did a search and got very confused. I saw people saying they are virtual the same as T3s - but thought the front/side door windows looked a lot bigger on the LTs.

Will get some T3 rubbers and will give it go.....

Yep - you will have to trim them shorter but T3 rubbers work.   I replaced mine last year.

Thanks chaps - I'm guessing it's theses bits I need - http://www.justkampers.com/281-837-709-felt-channel-for-door-glass-vw-T3-1979-1992.html

Although I can't work out if they have include the rubber surround the mounts to the metal edge of the window aperture in the door. I think they must do.

The felt and rubber are coextruded so are in effect one piece to cut.

Do not forget Brickwerks and VWHeritage

Keep it in the family.Thumbs Up

The other point about Simons' ethos is that he does not want to sell stuff that he himself would not buy.
