Why is my jigsaw rubbish?

Just bought an erbauer jigsaw and the blades swings to the left constantly and it does not cut square either. Only cutting 12mm MDF

I thought you was having trouble with a puzzle

Back to screwfix with it I think. There is a "guide" just infront of the blade and that is bent to the left too so maybe it is just faulty.

It was not the guide plate that was bent it was just a vertical pointer that was bent to the left. Which made me think that maybe it had been dropped during production/transport.

A carpenter recently told me he now only uses Makita. Though Ebauer were meant to be ok. Taking it back anyway.

I dislike Erbob, doesn't matter they made by makita they use cheaper internal parts because of this they crap, they do the job for DIY but day to day use they shite in my opinion. I use Makita cordless or bosch 110v both are smooth action, very impressed with the cordless makita, far better than the dewalt equivalent.

Even when only used once now n then, I'd still buy better quality smoother action nicer finish!

Just to add though there's usually certain settings on jigsaws which alter movement of the blade this can effect cut, also if you used the wrong kind of blade that might play a part.

All this said, even with shit tools if you have razor sharp blades it makes a huge difference.
