So on another thread we were wondering who's got the highest and lowest mileage on their LT1. My clock shows 305,000 km this summer which is about 189,000. Not bad on it's first engine. What's yours?

Been asked before, I think 500,000 miles was the record.
No idea on if the engine was re-built etc |

182,000 near enough. Probably the original engine.
Edit: Wrongity wrong wrong. Having minor engine bay woes meant I had my head in there this morning. Found out that the engine in it is not the one recorded in the V5. Edited by LTCamper89 - 11 Jul 14 at 14:26 |

Mine has just reached 190,000 km. Had only covered 8000 km in the last 4 years. I've had it for 6 weeks and added 1000 km!

Mine is showing 159,000 miles on the original 2.4D. Still seems strong and reliable if a bit noisy and leaks a bit of oil but doesn't seem to burn any.

Mine's coming up to 247k miles, still on the original engine although I did replace the vacuum pump as it was getting noisy. Gearbox bearings aren't brilliant, but lasting OK for now!

Hey LT buddies, this is so timely as we have just done a deal to get our 4th LT !, it has amazingingly low mileage of 13,800 miles with every MOT fron new to support it !!! our second LT was a 96 LT 35D 2.4 Devon bus which had 55,000 but was stolen last summer, the insurance settled for £2600 which i was happy with.We then got a n 85 LT 31, 88,000, self done by the second owner & changed to motorcaravan in 87. it stood on a drive not running for 9yrs but in good condition for its age, so its a work in progress. So back to the new one, Its a 91 LT 31 2.4 petrol Devon minibus & its like new, cant wait to do VW events this summer & enjoy it B-]

We have a winner!
Now THAT is impressive! And a daily driver?
Nice one Russell. You're as hooked as the rest of us. That's a great buy that should last many a year. What you going to do to the inside? Sorry LT2 dudes - wrong group ;) But TBH 410k miles... credit where credit is due... VW's are awesome in any flavour! ;)
