.................are obviously not struggling for business in the current climate!

I 'phoned them about 10 a.m. today to ask for the cost and when they could fit a cruise control to my Sportline.

Me: Can you please tell me the cost to supply and fit VW cruise control to my Transporter T30 Sportline Kombi?
VW: What model is it please? (Note my first question).
Me: Its a Transporter Sportline Kombi.....a T30 174, first registered in 2009.
VW: Did we supply the vehicle??? (I'm starting to get p*ssed-off with the stupid questions already).
Me: Er.....no.
VW: Can you please give me the registration mark?
Me: AB09 ***
VW: I'll have to speak to someone and call you back.

And guess, what they never did.

So I'm already wary that they might make a balls-up of it, should I decide to give them the job.  Even though I "should have nothing to worry about", as they are a VW van centre and should be able to do this job without thinking about it!

Has anyone had this job done in the north west already and been happy with the work? Do VW have a standard cost for this upgrade?

I'm living in Ireland and I make regular trips over to Manchester with the family to visit friends. SO before Christmas I arranged to get a DPF removal done with Pendle Performance (really happy with it by the way) and I ordered a set of Sportline alloy wheels from VW Van Centre in Manchester. They were ordered on 31/12/10 and I told them I would be over to them on 15/1/11.
Plenty of time to have them for me,or so I thought. When i went to pick them up on the Saturday I was told they had only received two of the wheels. I was feckin bullin'. I was so looking forward to getting the wheels fitted. I tried to see if  could get another 2 from a different van centre but they said they couldn't do that. So off I had to go on the boat on Sunday with 4 new tyres and only 2 alloys. As of today I am still waiting to receive the wheels. I also paid for them on my credit card when I ordered them on the phone. I've been told that they will ship them over at their expense. Since talking to them last Friday I've been told they may be here tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

DPF Removed and ECU Tune by Pendle Performance.

This all better be worth it....

I've just tried the VW van centre at Wrexham instead and they called me back in less than an hour, to tell me they have a brand new facility in south Liverpool, (near the airport), which is much closer for me. It's only been open for 3 weeks.

I'll keep you posted on their response, but their automated telephone has slightly pissed me off already, (pressed 2 for service and after about 30 seconds of more automated bullshit, it cut me off).
