Hi, Does anyone know where (on the internet) I can view VW paint charts.
Ive tried going on the vw website and "speccing" a car, but it doesn't really work !!
There are lots of sources for the paint codes, but they're not much use if you dont know what "Beirut bloodbath" etc actually look like !!

Thanks V much

There was a thread on the VW Owners Club (GB) forum regarding Paint Codes etc.  The guy who replied, gave a couple of links.  Have a search through.....

I think it's in 'Tech Support', but you'll have to go back a bit, it was in December.

Cheers.

go to the Vanwest website and click on the link - we have a specialist local paint company who have almost completed a comprehensive database for all vw paint codes and colours - they can also still supply some of it in two pack.

Thanks but ive tried that. Once again, they only tell you what the colour is, ie sky blue, and give the code. They dont actually show the colour !!
Thanks anyway.

I think you'll be hard pushed to find anywhere on the net that actually shows you the colours as there are so many shades and you need to look at them in daylight - be totally different on a pc screen anyway. Maybe locate your code on the net etc and take it to a local paint supplier to see if they can match it on their chips so you can physically see it in daylight ?.

Hi,
Not sure if this helps but this link to the Transporter sales brochure shows the codes and colours the transporter / caravelle was made in:
For older VW colours up to 1979 you can look here:
To see the colour itself you click the link in blue at the top.
Cheers,
