Great van for the price, particularly like the use of the whole rear end as a wet room, shower, loo, etc. Beats the hell out of the pokey broom cupboard they call a shower I've got on my LT28. And the use of that wall covering opens up all sorts of possibilities, as my delapidated cheap cord carpet is in it's death throes, dropping fibres at every contact and making sleeping a closed mouth affair!

I'm off down to the local scrap store  www.cornwallscrapstore.co.uk  on Tuesday to locate some more suitable, cheap fabrics for the interior; last time I was there I found some coated material that was water repellant and ideal for those damp wetsuited occassions. Oddly patterned but made some great seat covers! I'm now toying with the idea of having mylar or rubber walls (they have industrial end runs, recycle a lot of material, operate as a charity, and you only get to use what they have in stock at the time, schools use them as art material suppliers). Bang goes the re-sale value of the van then!!!

Oh NO! Can't believe yer thinking of getting rid of the wet room at the back, assuming that moving the kitchen back will do that! My Lt28 has a cupboard that is laughingly called a shower! What bliss it would be to  have what I assume by the floor grills is a wet room of sorts! Can't emphasise how important it is to have a proper space to move arund in when showering - you should see the contortions I get into trying to get clean in a bloody broom cupboard, possible yes, but bloody awkward. I dont know how many muscles I've pulled just getting my bits wet!!!!

Particularly like the paw print vinyl pattern seats funkymonkey; off to www.cornwallscrapstore.co.uk  to locate some nifty, cheap material for the wall and ceiling on my old LT28.

Hi all, here's a couple of pics of my LT35. Sadly I might have to scrap her soon as I fear the head gasket has gone and I can't afford the repairs. Might try on the for sale section to see if anyone fancies taking it on.

Beautiful van in what looks like a beautiful condition. Don't scrap it over a head gasket, shop around!

Hi all.

The works on my Reimo LT28 have continued over the winter and it's getting dangerously close to being ready to use, just the small matter of the the MOT and import paperwork.

I have been updating my blog with lots of words and pictures, I would love to repeat them all here but it's best to take a look if you are interested....

Many thanks, more to come...

Hi Ringo, I bought it off a mate's mate! He did all the cutting and welding, and lost interest and let it go for a few years, and told my mate that he was going to scrap it, So long story short I bought it, and over the last month or so I'm finishing the bodywork, painting and generally smartening the whole thing up.
Wasn't pretty when I got it!!! and wasn't sure what I was getting into, but for a bargain price I couldn't lose.
I had a 2,0 air-cooled 1981 T3 before with a pop- top, big alloys, lowered really cool looking, how different could you get in every way. I really now do love it and carn't wait to drive it, I reckon it will be mot-able in another week or two.

Fantastic. Yes mate - loads more room than a t3. I miss mine for driving pleasure and the looks - but for how I use it the LT suits us a lot better.

Good luck,

Ringo
