Hi Guys

What is this for? I know its some kind of charging unit, it has lived at the bottom of a cupboard unconnected to anything since I got my Westy.

What is this for? On the base of the pillar behind the drivers seat.

After doing plenty of searching I now think the black charger is to be used when parked up and connected to the mains. If its plugged in it will charge both batteries if plugged in but I may be wrong

The switch above the fuse box is some addition by the previous owner too by the looks of it? What does it power?
If you have no charger under rear seat the previous owner probably used the other charger when on EHU to juice his leisure battery?

The switch could be an immobilizer switch.

Nope. My hunch is its something to do with the leisure battery and charging it but thought I'd run it by you guys to see if you have seen anything like it before.

could it be a switch to link the leisure battery to the van battery for alternator charging purposes instead of the standard split charge relay?

The small black box adjacent to the switch switch has some fairly hefty wires, so probably something to do with switching reasonably large current, so possibly also something to do with charging/connecting/disconnecting batteries.  What are the wires connecting to ?

I'm guessing the switch is for the water pump to the tap - a previous owner of our Westy had installed a very similar mod, presumably when the microswitch to the tap was kaput. Thumbs Up
