After taking a bit of flack re converting it to a normal 2 wheel on the syncro page I'm going to list it for sale and just go and buy a TD crewcab as it will be easier.
My van is a Swedish model, originally 2.1 MV but converted to a 1.9 DG engine. All the gearing/running gear is the original MV gear.
It is baby blue and rust but in solid condition and will be sold with 12 months MOT and taxed until Nov 2010. First registered May 1990.
Twin headlights with washers.
Aux heating but fuel not re-plumbed after the engine swop
Heated seats, not working though
4 almost new tyres
Alternator replaced last week
New fuel pump going on next week as I think the one fitted is on its way out.
Everything works as far as I know (MOT should highlight any issues)
Bit of an oil leak from somewhere but I haven't had time to have a dig around but I think it's the rocker covers as they were pretty naff so I have new covers and gaskets but I haven't had time to fit them.
I'm after £2750 but more than willing to listen to offers/swaps
I've plenty of pictures but it keeps telling me they are too big and my computor ability doesn't stretch any further than typing so please drop me a line with your email address and I will get some pictures off to you.

is it still running as a 4x4 all running gear working propshaft & diff locks working.
gear box & engine good? whats the overall condition the bodywork any better pics

Hi, the mechanicals are fine and I've looked after them well while I've had it. Re the rear diff, never used it and never will (which takes me all the way back to the original ad on the syncro page!) so, tomorrow when it goes in for the MOT I will ask the garage to have a look over it and tell me if everything is in order.
Everything else is as standard with the exception of the engine change. Pictures should be on their way to you!

It's gone in for the MOT this morning and I have asked the garage to cast their eye over the running gear and check the rear lockable diff. I'll update as soon as I know whether the news be good or bad!
I've had a couple of PM's asking how much would I take, make an offer I can only say no! PX/Swap ideally be a diesel crewcab but to be fair, I'd consider most things!

After a couple of enquiries about the MOT, it failed on a front wheel bearing (can't remember which side), a flexi hose, need new discs and pads and a couple of minor things such a bulbs etc. If will be back on Saturday morning with a fresh ticket and I will retain the failure sheet and any advisories that come with it so you have the full picture! |
