My zz11 had the power restriction carb tops, you just had to change them for deeper ones that were freely available in our local shipyard !
This zz12 is a magic carpet, you can restrict yourself to a quarter throttle and still break the national speed limit in first! It has to be the smoothest bike I have ever ridden. Might not be as nimble as the gixers and firegrates but I`m past all that ear`oling now. More interested in getting a respectable 6,000 miles out of a back tyre.

Nice one ZZ- i had a ZZR 1100 C2 once, and with full power carb tops it would do 170 mph easily, bet yours will do nearer 200! I've had bikes since . but nothing with that effortless, seemingly never ending surge of power. Mine will live in my biking memory forever..

What do I need to say about mine?

Remember the VW advert with the people from Alabama and the 'alien' sighting.  "It was like a vee, vee durbya".

To all those going on about birth years, mine was '82 (snigger snigger).

I first joined a couple of kitesurfing forums and "North Wind" seemed like a reasonable pick. Now I stick to it to keep my life easy.

North Wind

PS Conversion seems going well. Damplifier sound-proofing fitted and hot and cold water tanks going on tomorrow. Plenty of small problems coming up (today, the iPod integration cable turns out to be too short to fit between glove box and head unit) but it will all be worthwhile in the end. Can't wait.

Freeley cos of the amount of people that mishear my surname when signing in etc when working in different places (it's BRAYLEY for chrissakes!). In particular one doddery old security guard who kept calling me it all day much to the amusement of my mate who i was working with.

You had to be there really.

I'm Happy Yellow because:

My yellow T5 looks so ridiculous people often smile when they see it!

Actually, I decided upon Happy Yellow before I saw the happy faces, but it seems to have worked out

I live in a country full of thugs and bandits driving around in black Mercs, BMWs, Audis and Jeeps - lots of Maffia, and even if you're not Maffia, it's fashionable to looks as if you are - so it's nice to be different.

Yes, it was the Tan Hill Inn i believe, and the bloke who turned the big fan on for Ted in the adverts was called 'Reg'

We all remember ted moult, but can anyone remember where the building in the advert was? I seem to think it was touted as the highest pub in england.

I was only referring to your ability to recall word perfect an advert from the late 80's and my ability to recognise it as such.
