Hi all,
I'm in france & my CS engine is dead,I've managed to get hold of an aaz engine(throttle linkage done) a jx exhaust(also have a golf front pipe to chop& weld),I am hoping to get it running to go back to sunny Newcastle, heres the but,

1. I know i've got to build a left hand engine mount.

2. I don't understand how I can re-index the (kkk)turbo to have vertical oil lines, as the finned domed thing  on the  manifold  part of the turbo is in the way?

3. The lower oil return line has to go to the sump? ( I only have a cs sump)   can I drill & tap the sump & if so where?

4.I've found a big K&N air filter to go in the space behind the light.

5.On the front of the injection pump is what looks like a second fuel shut off how do I wire this?

6.The temp gauge sender has 4 wires . any suggestions?
7.Anything I've forgotten?
cheers for any help

Ok the aaz is in & running, it started first time , thats never happened
before! slight leak on the throttle of the injection pumps, hope it was just
dry. managed to grind out the left hand engine mount to fit round the
turbo, think it will hold(put 4 washers between block & engine mount to
adjust angle slightly)
Exhaust ; thought I was going to have to use a flexible but manage to
make artwork with the jx exhaust.
Had to cut 10 x 15 cm hole in engine cover.
Didn't know where to tap sump so turbo is still to block,
can anyone explain what difference it can make if it goes to the sump, as
the oil is pumped through the turbo? & so will spray or dribble over
middle bores.
For any one doing conversion;
water connections swap sraight over so original senders can be wired up.
the valve on the diesel pump is the auto cold start & works without it.
You definitely need to change the gearbox as the aaz is more torquey &
less revy , so my max speed is now 55mph! shame my box is 1300 miles
away.
Lastly if you wire up the aaz alternator using both control wires the oil
buzzer goes mad. so experiment , it is not an oil prob.
