hi guys , just been offered the above , but not sure what sort of price they are worth! , i was more into the aircooled but this sounded like a good project , its got a problem dropping oil ( think it may be camshaft end seal)its the lwb too , thought it would make a great day van /daily driver, any help as to rough price would be appreciated (157 k on the clock but had a lot of new parts before the current owner gave up)

posted this on t4 forum , but no responses ! its been off the road 4 about 3 years , don't want to miss out if it is the bargain i think it is ? i just don't know anything about the t4 or syncro scene , i just rebuilt my bay window , but only want to use that at weekends if possible , this would make a great daily !

petrol or diesel,and what engine?
Don't know loads about VCs but if sitting around for 3 years has killed it,then they're expensive. Also sitting around won't have been nice to the brakes, tyres and so on.
If its a 2.4D it will(well mine was)be a bit disappointing above 50,but depends on what you're expecting.
Hard to pin a price on something you don't see often,LWB too.
I sold mine,an R reg 2.4D syncro SWB caravelle with very rare multivan rear bed for about £7000.But it sold with extras like night heater, awning etc.

Stick some photos up so we can see the condition.

.......ah,the old girl...........

The VC is a Haldex, I've not heard of them going wrong from just being stood. It wouldn't harm to change the oil and filter on it though.

Will have to look up the info somewhere...

Thanks for that Andy, interesting to know that VW never changed the VC in the 11 years of it's use on all models of T4.
