am i right in thinking the sven hedin is the same as a florida spec wise with just a different trim and rear door layout. is the air heater and (water heater " sink and shower ") diesel or gas and do they have an oven or just a hob. sorry for all the questions but i`ve been offered an early rough sven` and i`m thinking of possibly re shelling it in to a lwb late lt td.
i know the problems involved in the reshell but i`m unsure of the equipment that a sven came with.

thanks lee.

I think you're right that the spec was very similar, except no access through the back door, and beige trim. Air heater (eberspacher?) would likely be same fuel as the van runs on. Water heater would be gas. No oven, just a two burner hob.

I think the Floridas were built into SWB vans (with custom high top), though a very small number were LWB. Be aware of the profile of the van when thinking about a transplant - the sides of the interior are definitely not straight up - they curve in towards the top.

Have a look at this brilliant website, where you can find the original brochures:

I think the Svens came first and were replaced by the Florida, but I maybe wrong.  They are very similar.

There's some interior pictures on my for sale thread.

The warm air runs off diesel, same as the engine.

The hot water is run off gas.

If you want pictures off something specific PM me your email and what pictures you want.

If i've got them on my computer i'll send straight away. If not on my computer i'll get them to you in a couple of weeks, the vans up at my parents at the moment.
