There must be more than the four we know of, here's ours. Chipped to 130 & rolling on Q7 18" wheels.

^WHS^

how many times have you been passed on the motorway by a Lwb Lt/Sprinter dragging its arse on the deck doing 95mph?

When an S1 passes me doing 95mph i might take an interest.

I can say from experience that driving an LT 31 ( mine was a Distance Wide ) was the worst driving experience I have ever had.
I'd like to say something polite about it ,but it was Shit.

At 60mph It sounded like I was doing about 95mph and I had a headache after about an hour , I think 60mph was about 4k rpm , that just ain't right.

Stop kidding yourself that they are good , they ain't , they're Shit , you just haven't realised yet , you will

As you were.

*Mumbles something about character, and 6 cylinder soundtrack whilst glossing over things like performance, economy and rust*

I've driven a 158bhp LT Luton van a few years ago when the works Sprinter 311 was in for service, and have to (grudgingly) say it was fun! Just way out of my price league, and the old LT has kinda grown on me now. Anyway, can you cook your pies on the engine of a Mk2 LT and still get to it without getting out of the cab?LOL

I wonder if your 5 pot 2.7 lump will fit in a T4, potentially an easy 200bhp + with chip, injectors & bigger intercooler. If mine ever blows it will have 316cdi fitted for sure!

just bought this Big smile, I was missing my old LT (or more precisely the room in it), it needs/will get, (eventually), clear indicators, some nice alloys, and possibly a respray up to the swage line and the sliding door as the bottom 18" of paint is a bit patchy, and some new upholstery covers and curtains as the present stuff is a bit too pinky/peachy for my tastes LOL, (luckily I have a daughter who is good at that sort of stuff Thumbs Up) and Dunc have you got any more of those arch extenders you were showing Ben at Camperjam? thinking of maybe putting some of those on it as well.

Looks sweet jack!
The arches are genuine vw lt rears
I have the part no at home if you can hang on till Saturday.
Clear indicators are cheap as chips on ebay and a doddle to fit.

Thats a cracking conversion, drive well don't they

Like J said you can pick the arches up from Vw for about £16 each & if you are going to use VAG alloys budget £150 to have the centre bores machined out.

cheers Dunc, the conversion was done from new, I've got the original receipts for it, the guy paid just short of £20,000 for the van and then put it into Style motorhome conversions down Trowbridge, the conversion was just under£7.000 and the receipt is dated 30/03/98 which ties in with it's date of first registration.

p.s. and yes they do drive wellThumbs Up
