Aidan Talbot for all T3 gearbox rebuilds - he will get the one from my 2.6 sometime soon as it's getting tired and I have a LSD to put in it Wink

I have one but in Durban S.A. works daily as a TV service vehicle without centre seat, shame. '95 2.3 same engine. Great to see these buses retired in U.K.
Its never too late.

Hey, Kenyon. I don't suppose you do your own servicing...? I'm trying to identify the 2.6 front brake caliper and pad carrier, to see if there's anything else it was fitted to that we might have a chance of finding here in the UK. I've found out the pad is F#rd and dead common over here, the front disc is very similar to a Gr@n@da 4x4 2.9 but the caliper/carrier assembly is a killer. Reckon you might be able to help?

To the best of my knowledge  carriers and calipers are T3 specific.

Here's mine. A 1992 2.5 owned a few years ago by Bilbo's design and been my daily drive for the last 18 months. A bit tatty but goes like a train and tows anything I need it to. Tried to replace it a couple of times with a T4 and of all things a bloody Bongo but it refused to be shifted off it's perch. At least not til the Tristar is ready...

Not South London by any chance? Seen a one a couple of times around Clapham with "2.5 5cylinder" (or similar) on the number plate, whilst out on my Vespa. May have commented on it once too Big smile

SA VAN OWNERS BEWARE!!! Had my red 1992 2.5i Caravelle stolen yesterday 03/01/11 from Littlehampton, West Sussex. After searching for a SA bus for nearly two years, found this one on ebay and bought it from Bristol only to have it stolen 5 months later.Angry Reg: TIW 3013 well was?

Did that have a 6 seater Carat interior fitted by previous owner? I know the van & owner. That will stand out anywhere !!  It's the only red SA big window bus with blue Carat seats in it. I would suggest anyone who sees a red SA big window bus to have a closer look and check the interior. Put a post in the Brickies Arms & on 80-90 calling for all south cost members to look out for a red SA big window with Carat interior.
