As above, the black lever on the left hand door was really stiff today so with a little tug it then went very loose...... Yep sheared the little square bit of the mechanism that the lever fits on to.

Of course it is discontinued from vw and can't seem to find one anywhere else.

Happy happy joy joy lol

If anyone knows where I can get one please lete know,

Cheers rob

Right hand drive, the right door you open first and the left hand has the handle hidden when the right is closed, if that makes sense lol.

Cheers for the offer I will try and figure out how to put a pic on now from my phone,

I do now I've had a look, looks like mine sheared off years ago so no handle to work with.
Remains of the pin look really small, lots of potential to drill out etc.
You can post a link to the pic from mediafire etc if that's easier or email me.

LTCamper89 if you could post a couple of pics it would be very useful.
A pic with the handle on, and one with the handle removed.
There's a chance that I may have everything but the handle if it's held on by a single screw.
If so then in the worst case I can dismantle the door and tap out a new thread etc for Rob.

Think so mate, looks like I'm missing the square block off the end though how you'd shear that off I don't know.
If I can get a bit of solid bar of the right size could weld it back on I guess.

anway will wait for Rob to get back to us and take it from there.

Providing it can be removed from the handle, just weld it back on.
Needs the door stripping down though.

Well..... Funny story.
The screw holding the handle on would not turn, out came the drill, head of screw removed and the handle off, the little square is still kept nice and safe courtesy of the rest of the screw, I figured until it's going under the knife it's nice and safe attached where it is.
As for removing the mechanism it's self that went well, obviously removing the door card I recently made and covered in vinyl plus removing my celotex/extratherm I did not swear at all, so that's out now.
Cheers Rob:-)
