No more than 2840mm high to be precise.....

Only to facilitate getting it into a place for a little while.
I'm thinking a set of rims, no tyres and maybe have the rims turned down also.

Currently I'm 16cm too high.....

If smaller diameter rims will fit over your brakes that might be easier than turning down (and thereby ruining) a set of rims.  Car dollies may be another even lower alternative (no LT wheels at all)

16cm is a big ask.

I always find it'll fit in anywhere with a long enough run up! 😁 £

How many cm of ruber from the steel wheels down to the floor? 12? 14? 16? Then try to compres the springs for the rest.
