Just posted in the wanted section, but thought I’d follow up here with a brief summary of the current situation.
My nieces’ fella has a lovely Westy Weekender which has a turbo’d 1Y installed.
Glowplug snapped in the head and removal attempts have resulted in the glowplug boss fracturing.
I haven’t seen it yet, but I’m told it now needs a new head.
So I’m on the lookout for a 1Y head or if one can be found I’d be happy to install an AAZ.
Van has now been recovered from West Wales, to Caerphilly so I can now go and take a look at it.
But assuming the head is knackered, anybody got any thoughts on other options?

Hi I have a block and head for a 1y y can have for £50 l could put it on a pallet for you if y get a courier, was running fine but leaking oil badly from loads of places there is a brand new cam belt on it I believe the head is fine but the rings on the pistons may be worn good fly wheel etc
