Hi TZoo.  Welcome to the forum.  The vans are old, slow and thirsty but you can't help having a soft spot for them!

Do you have any photo's of yours?  Always good to see what other peoples vans are like.

Welcome TZoo Beer

Some nice work there. I particularly like the ?Mario? 16dpi

?When you say 'north', does that mean north, where i am, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, or do you actually mean, nearly north like Manc-chester (sic Madra)?

We need pictures, 'tis true. Just nosey really.

edit: According to the Register, nearly north.

Having seen the weather for Saturday, I would not relish it. If I got the MOT in time I was thinking of a day trip, but maybe not.

I've moved it twice!  The first time was to the underside of the floor, just below the sliding door because I wanted the room on the back for my mountain bike.  Then I had Lpg fitted and the only practical place for the tank was where I had put the spare wheel.  I then moved it back to the nearside rear door but mounted it higher via a frame which goes around the window.  Again that was to give me room for my bike.  With hindsight I should have put it back in it's original place and had the bike higher up the door.  My bike is a lot lighter than the wheel so it's better having the extra weight of the wheel lower down the door.

Why do you need a brace?
