Always on the look-out for other LT owners on my travels, here are a couple I spotted recently

Spotted at Green Man in Brecon, Wales

Spotted yesterday in Eastbourne, Sussex

Wondered if anyone here owned or knew of these vans?

I saw this one in North Wales (near Dolgellau) a couple of weekends back - anybody recognise it?

You know that 'thing', where you get a rare car, and suddenly you start seeing them everywhere, well, I was saying to my wife a few days ago that the LT is the first vehicle I have owned in over 20 years where I have never started seeing them about once I owned one - in fact, I have not seen one for months.

Today, I saw a pretty much mint, white G reg pickup truck LT35 in Knaresborough, a C reg battered old LT28 horsebox in Pannal and a bloody battered N reg luton LT35 van/horsebox in Seacroft, Leeds.

I'm starting to take the camera out with me to work tomorrow! LT spotting FTW!

Ditto.

Though I did spot three on Kefalonia in August (one Swiss LT35 camper and two apparently local ones that didn't seem to have moved in a while), which suggests a greater population density in the further flung bits of Europe.

?Could be a new game for the 'kids'?

?How many LTs per square mile?

Kefalonia is, according to Wiki 302 square miles, that is 100.67/sq/mile.

Nope, I'm bored already,.....and very sad.Embarrassed UK 94060 square miles.

That's better.

No camera, so no pictures.

H regeistered LT in a very nice Dove Grey, leaving New Bridge Street roundabout, NE1, at around 4pm today. I waved from the comfort of my bus shelter and the check-shirted sun-glasses-wearing driver waved back.

Later seen, 4.30ish,  trying to hide at the back of Chillingham Road at the junction of Biddlestone Road. It's big ass was sticking out.

The big green ultra hightop was also seen exiting the Tyne Tunnel, heading north, a couple of weeks ago, but I have not seen it since, in either previous location.

Another LT spotted, but no camera and thus no pictures. M309 ?NKK? either a 28/31/35E but no indentifying marks.

I followed him for a half mile and then we both stopped at the lights Staion Road/Great Lime Road junction NE12. Side by side me and a white tin top.

A rare occurrence, but at least I got a wave this time, I think I saw him a while ago and got ignored.

Just got back from a cheap last minute holiday in Gambia (£400 for flights and hotel)
Saw quite a few LTs in various states of decay - most glimpses out of the window of a bus or taxi so couldn't always get photos but here are a couple of the better ones that are still on the road.
The red one was in Banjul harbour the other was near the Senagambia strip.

Yes BigAl68, that was me...probably there cannot be two.

I had some ebay stuff to collect, a 1980 LT brochure - shiny, a MTB wheel with Rohloff - double shiny and a load of ms rod from a chap on MIG-Welding forum - not shiny at all in any way whatsoever.

All of that was on the way to Ely to buy a bike to replace the van as work transport. Not exactly the same as this one, mine is yellow and the seat is different, amongst other things.

Whilst collecting the 1980 brochure, mentioned above, I was told that a beige LT lived over the road.

I did not ask for internal pictures, a little intrusive I find, but the chap, late 50s, had owned it for eleven years and was very happy with it, apart it was a 2.0ltr petrol. I advised to get onto Brickwerks for parts, and brick-yard for body panels and all round help.

I didn't have any idea about rohloff trikes or a plyood recumbent so just had a quick Google. Some of those plwood recumbents are fantastic looking bikes. Real works of art.

I can understand why your not sure which would work best neither is a small undertaking. Though the joy it will bring will no doubt make all the head scratching and cussing quickly disappear. Good luck with it.

Spotted in Eastbourne last night - less than a mile from my house, looks like it might live there?
It's a '96 LT35 camper called 'Pennine" - wondered if it's anyone on here?

My first ever car was a Vauxhall Viva HC like the one in the forground - mine was a 1971 2 door estate and thats a 1972. Paid the princely sum of £75 for it - put a 2.3L out odf an Opel Rekord in it.

See... we all as bad as each other - thanks for sharing Smile

As if that wasn't bad enough, I shouted "Look. There's a Herman!" and then wound it back so the missus could see, coz she hadn't spotted it.

You never know you may even spot Herman proper one day.Wink

Another televisual treat.

A few nights ago we were watching 'The House that 2 Built- 80s' and I thought I saw an LT Luton removal van, so I waited for IPlayer and a screen shot.

If you really want to see the fleeting second of fame, 3.13, but it is very quick.

Put me right here if necessary, but everything looks right except the height of the indicator repeater, above the chine, or do not bother and let me cower in the corner of utter uselessness.
