The list above are the parts required. You can also choose 2 other sizes of bar I went for the 26mm option. The bracket and how they are attached are the same across the sizes.

 

The pictures above and below show these parts layed out to give you an idea of what you need to order. The VW van centers I used were rubbish wen I 1st order the parts as the ETOS system picture of the rear bar only show the rear trailing arm bracket, bolt and rivnut (not the pic below of the rear trailing arm M8 Rivnuts, they are specially shaped) I ended up using Trade Parts Specialist who sorted the rest of the bracket and rivnuts from a picture of the rear cross memebers.

 

 

 

 

 

So with all the parts compiled your ready to sort the tools required (Iwill add a pic of the rivnut tool, or just google it and get an image)

Require are a drill with 9mm bit, 13mm socket, 10mm socket, a rivnut tool that will go upto M8. The later is important as most cheaper riv tools only go upto an M6. These tools are expensive (£97 from most large tool suppliers) I bought mine knowing that its going to be used again and that it goes to M12 rivs and will also do pop rivets.  Should you not want that expense, most tool hire shops will hire them out for minimal money or stear you in the right direction of a place that can help. I will loan mine out to any one based local to the Mids with obvious stipulation you loose it or break it you pay for it. Simple.

 

 Ok before we start I will say one thing. If you can borrow a ramp to do this do,if not yoy need to make sure you can safely raise the rear of the van in the air. To install the rear trailing arm M8 rivs requires a lot of height. They are he trickiest part of the hole very simple job.

 

1st off you need to locate the fixing point on the underside of the van. These are the lacations of the rivnuts. The picture above show the 6 M6 holes  (these are after being enlarged with the 9mm drill bit) that are loctaed on the vans rear cross members just up and in front of where the rear tariling arms are loated. These require enlargening with a 9mm drill to allow the rivnuts to be fitted.

 

The second location for the M8 rivnuts is under the rear trailing arm. If you look towards the back you will see an indentaion a small cut out above that and on the oposite side to the cut out a shaped hole for the M8 riv. I found these were tight so tapped them in with a hammer first before I fitted the riv.

Also PR code 0J4 which were increased payload... factory specced for coachbuilts and stuff destined to carry heavy equipment... I guess tippers and cherry pickers and stuff.
