Hi Folks,

Problems with hosting have mean't that the existing topic has become unweildy, only the last link actually works so here's the current one.

It's manuals and materials for the B VE pump, a sort of training guide to B injectors and the 1986 2.4 diesel engine update. Hope they are of use to someone.

Does anyone know if Haynes make a manual for a '92 2.5l Petrol LT? I've only managed to find one for vans up to '87 - or does anyone know if they're the same?

Are any of those manuals  for the Last of the LTs i have a 2005 model, and cant find anything on it.

I don't know how much would be relevant for a 2005 LT, as far as I know they are all for earlier models 1976-95.

I have an LT32 on a 2002 plate and any kind of manual is as rare as invisible fog.

I searched amazon and could only find a few referencing LT vans http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Lt+series&x=0&y=0#/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=volkswagen+Lt&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Avolkswagen+Lt" rel="nofollow - Books from Amazon even the descriptions are vague.

Later LTs and Crafters are included in ELSAWIN, VWs own workshop info, which can be found on eBay.
ELSAWIN has more info than you could wish fo although it is in 'workshop speak'.

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but the 2.4 Petrol engine manual is corrupted and is missing a load of section (naturally they're the ones I want!). Does anyone have a complete copy anywhere?

Both petrol engines are covered in the Haynes manual, it's the diesels where there is a  problem and the reason why several people spent many hours scanning stuff.
If anyone has the time etc to upload any new manuals then I'm happy to add them to the list, or update any existing.

Ahh, with you. Haynes is on my list but I just bought something from emaunualsonline which is supposedly the workshop manuals for the whole LT range (Mk1 at least) as a VMWare virtual machine. It's 4.4GB (twice that when unzipped!) but only a tenner. Will report back on it once I have it up and running in case it has anything extra which may be of interest to people (especially diesel owners), if anyone is interested.

I'm sure everyone on the forum would be interested.
Once installed if there is a print option, download cutepdfwriter.
Select it as a printer and it produces a pdf file which you can upload, and I can download for the rest of us.
If you can pm me with details of what info you need now, then I can either advise or if feasable scan the relavant sections.

Will do. Access to technology isn't a problem for me- my day job is as a senior software developer! I've got a few of those PDF printers hanging about so I'll see what I can extract and how it hangs together. Potentially it looks like a pretty serious resource.

Hi there,

the Technical Manual list is amazing.  Like lots of other people I've spent lots of time trying to track down the right manual for my LT35 1990 petrol manual 4 gear van without luck

I did try emanualsonline too, but after 2 weeks of trying to download the correct manual, and much emailing backwards and forwards between me and the EMO support staff (who kept thinking I was doing something wrong) I received an email today saying pretty much oops sorry yes you're right we don't have your manual available.  I'm getting a refund (but not for my hours of struggling on the VMware Player to find my manual, and on google trying to translate German!!)

So joy of joys to find manuals at Brick-Yard.

Cheers Elaine

Ok, I've redone the link just in case there was a problem with the old one.
Added some manuals for my old bus, might have messed it up.

In my first post on the first page of this topic, click the link below new site from......
Then click LT Manuals
Then click Petrol
Should then see the Engine and Carb manuals
On the left side click the little box for the manuals you want, then click Download at the top of the screen.

Hopefully this should work for you, but if there's still a problem just post again and I'll try to figure out what is wrong.

I have a paper copy of TP 30571/2 Volvo Service Manual covering D24/D24TD/D24TIC.

If there is anything which is not as clear as you would like on the scanned copies shout up and I will see if I can help.

Hi all
Has anyone noticed that the Running gear manual for Jan 83 stops abruptly at Section 47 p54?

Can anyone point me to a version that has the missing pages? I'd like the page that describes brake bleeding!

Many thanks for the information that all have put up - I'd be completely lost without it.

Thanks for pointing that out, I have two differently named copies both of which appear to be from the same 'short' source.

Regarding the brakes, furthest from the master cylinder first. So for a RHD vehicle, NSrear, OSrear, regulator, NSfront and last OSfront.

Thanks for that LTCamper89. I'm just about to put some fresh fluid in and bleed, following a traumatic few weeks with the bleed nipple on the load sensing valve leaking (for the price of a round, a local engineering works just 'cleaned the threads up' when I thought it was going to need bushing - I had drilled out the snapped-off nipple but just badly enough to wound the threads) and a brake pipe springing a substantial leak at one of the plastic clips. A crash course in making brake lines followed, but as of last night, there were no more leaks but the old fluid I'd been using to flush the system has left it feeling mighty spongy. And I was bleeding in the wrong order too. Wish me luck!

Looked through all these but can't see it in these, any one got an idea?

Checked:

And there is nothing comes up (on any of them for that matter, might be browser issue)

THANKS!

As far as I can see the '97 - '06 LT is covered by ELSAWIN which should be available on eBay. Suggest that you do a search for that.

If you care to tell us which LT you have and what engine (letters) etc. I can check before you buy.

Yes it looks as if all of that vehicle is covered in ELSAWIN. There are a number of options depending on the actual base vehicle but you can work that out from the chassis number or build details if you can find the sticker on the vehicle or in the service book.

If you have a decent PC then I suggest that you give it a try, I have for the T5s as there is nothing printed for them!

Look for ELSAWIN on eBay, it is a software package containing VW dealer service information on all VAG models from the mid 1990s.

What is it with having a go at speed of answers on here. That is two in four days. This is not FB.

There are only about 150 members on here, at best, in the LT brotherhood, and not all are active members.

I have been in touch with arriston via PM and through other means since the question was asked.

In June last year I posted that I had a proper Volvo Greenbook for the TiC, so not everyone noticed that either.

what gets me is some posters place a post for some  advise or knowledge (which is FREE) and usually helps them out,  but,  and this is the one one that pee`s me off,  never bother to come back and say if it worked or not or if they found an answer some where else

there is a lt2 section , but i wonder how many people think the lt2 is the one with the upgraded grill and light surround, the true way to differ the two models (lt1 & lt2) would be to put the year from and to for the lt1 and the year from and to for the lt2, the crafty crafter is lucky in it has a totally different name so can not be confused between lt1 or lt2

Hi All just acquired a copy of some genuine VW Workshop manuals for early LT's, probably the same as what is available to download on here but i've not checked yet.

Includes the following ;

Running Gear LT 40/45/50 Jan 1983 Edition

4 Speed Manual gearbox 015 and final drive May 1982 Edition

5 Speed Manual gearbox 008/L and final drive May 1983 Edition

Maintenance March 1983 Edition

2.0 Litre Petrol Engine

4 Cylinder Diesel Engine

also some other updated bulletins for various sections

Could possibly add to existing information? (if I can get time to scan it all!)

Hi guys !

I'm new here, but hope to stay for a long time.
Last week I was browsing the forum for info about the gear box and diff ratios and I found some links to some documentation that was in German with VIN decoding info and all the gear boxes, engines and diffs ever built. Unfortunately I didn't bookmark those links at the time. And now I'm desperately searching for them and can't seem to locate them anywhere. So I'm asking here for your help, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

Thanks.

This is brilliant. Looks like there are quite a few to choose from. For years I've only had a French version for my vehicle. Translating wiring diagrams to English is not fun. Do you know which link would be for an 87 diesel manual lt 40 I can see a few possibilities but I'm a bit of a dufus. Any guidance is appreciated

The wiring is the same, basically, from 1976-1996 and over the range 28-55.
The differences between LT28-LT55 are small for our purposes, front suspension principally.

The first 2 links still seem to be working, seems to just be the linux links that are broken.
