1980 2.0 air cooled -
11 months mot, UK registered - elderly former keeper who has added a few upgrades...
engine has weber progressive carb conversion, head temp and oil pressure guages.

The van has decent ikea style blinds throughout, and the upholstery is in much better shape than any other early gipsy i have seen.
It has a large aftermarket fridge fitted (with freezer) plus additional lighting , reversing sensors and some other 'improvements' like extra cooling and air intake vents - larger hob top for multi pan use Confused
and basically the sort of stuff your grandad would appreciate .

the van drives well and doesnt leave an oil trail like many 2 ltr vans - its not that slow either!
i would say the van is pretty dry - the roof etc are all sound and dry - there is an area where the wallpaper has lifted over the cab area- but this may be just down to age.

the van is £3995 -  and it looks like this

it is in surrey close to guildford - phone for more info

hi fellow flounderer - cant vouch for the previous owner being quite so bohemian - they appear to be original covers Approve

hopefully we will point a camper towards Kernow later this month - dont worry i will flounder for the pair of us !!

Actually if the water temp is favourable i am up for a weekend on the gower later in the year if yourself and rich fancy it ?

I took my wife and daughter to look at this Gypsy on Friday, i must say it is in great condition, i looked underneath and was pleasantly suprised with how solid she is looking under there, better than my newer T3 anyway, nice inside stacks of storage, loads of sleping space as well.

Very Very nice Gypsy i would agree that it is a very good price as well, we are looking at a bay at the mo, wife loves gypsy's tho so we had to have a looksie, Smile

As a rule I favour herpes over aircooled T3's but have to say this surprisied me,the webber progressive gives it a strong, pull even on hills.

I gave it a full engine service as we was not sure when it was last done,I filled it with fuch titan on judgies recomendation with a quality filter and bosch plugs,I also cleaned the strainer which was particle free.

The k&n was cleaned and re oiled,I ran it to temp, then test drove it,the oil pressure gauge showed good pressure hot and cold.

It is a very early gipsy with a slide out bed which is better for room than the later ones.

I can also help you get it on an age related plate as well.

Come take a look, you will be surprised,if you catch me in a good mood I may even put the kettle on and give you a shop tour,it is T3 heaven.Lol

Ps, the shower room is the dryest I have ever seen one.
