ok, got my new wheels - are off an Audi so presumed they needed boring
out. had a look yesterday and they have these centering rings fitted
(green
bit in pic)

now, I think the bore behind them is big enough, but how do these rings
come out? there is a metal ring holding it in place which I can't seem to
shift, is it just a case of twatting it from the outside until it pops off? don't
want to break it.

If the bore of the wheel is more than the required should I get a set of the
rings to fit snug over my hubs or will i get away without them?

cheers

hi monsho, thats a spiggot ring. it will come out with persuasion.it has a metal ring like a circlip holding it in. abit of lube incase or corrosion then give it a tap. perhaps have those rings machined to fit.

yeah, thought a tap should shift them, didn't want to bray it and knack the
lot...

should be easy enough to have them whittled down...

you dont have any scrodgers?

theyre like screwdrivers, but used for scrodging instead of driving screws...

its an implement for generally prying, twatting, or poking stuff.

You know on snap on stuff it says "Not to be used as a pry bar or lever"?

Well, snap on dont make scrodgers

Northern f**kers, they know nowt dunt they...
