I'm just putting my tdi (1z) engine together and was going to get the injectors cleaned,so do i change the nozzles at the same time.

Hi pearce,
I used to work for a company called van Aaken based in Berkshire, who are
diesel tuners. They had these for sale, strangely we did not sell many.

The other thing you could try from them or someone similar is have a
blackbox plugged into the ecu, if you still have it !!! The number for van
Aaken is 01344 777 553, ask for Alex Feher (pronounced Fayer)

No not cleaning now as i got new Bosch nozzles for a AFN engine (110hp). Just stripped down the old injectors washed them out with brake and clutch cleaner then blow through with a air line, got new nozzle nuts at the same time, cost about £42(ish) trade per injector.when i get it on the road i will let you know if it's made any difference, this could be quite same time, doing work on the house at the moment and trying to finish my 1978 vw bay camper.

Cheers Gary

if you fit the 110hp injectors you will see a increase in power but the 110 hp tdi also had a bigger turbo (vnt17) instead of vnt 15 and larger fuel outlets on fuel pump ,if you have got injectors they are certenly worth fitting ,rumour had it that the 180hp golf tdi motorsport had no mods done to the ecu the power was all done with larger injectors ,pump mods and bigger turbo

not heard of that propane kit before but looks good,if you want to get into serious tdi tuning check out this site http://www.kermatdi.com/ - http://www.kermatdi.com/  they have no probs shipping to the uk

theres a guy somewhere running a 2.0Tdi A3 with about 320hp

Read the small print.LOL  It only gives 30-40 HP on cars. but with charge coolers, chips and injectors who knows.

I did read somewhere that others who have played with gas have seen awesome amounts of HP and torque but there was a fine line between running and meltdown. This kit looks like it is desgined for off the shelf use, not max HP.

Then you'll be needing the porshe gearbox upgrade, bigger brakes etc.Ouch

I'll probably leave it a bit longer so they can iron out all the issues with gas first.LOL

I read that if you only fit the 110 injectors heads you will get slightly less than 110 Hp, something to do with the 2 stages in the body of the injectors, one stage can be adjusted easily the other needs specialist equipment to set them up properly, hence the HP loss.

emailed the guy,if its user name Prothe,he replies to my postage cost question with,"
HI, I'm on the verge of discontinueing these products.  People send me
bad injectors that can't be rebuilt, and there's nothing I can do.  Pete"
er oh,okay.....(ah shit!)

Kerma has a good reputation.

Buy the nozzles and rebuild your injectors with kerma nozzles.
