    Posted: 19 Aug 14 at 16:50
Hi all

I've decided that new discs is the first port of call on the journey to better brakes. But now my local factor is struggling to source them and I don't have a number to give him to help. Can anyone advise what the part number is for a 6 stud brake disc for a 1990 LT35 (twin wheel)?

Thanks

Get yourself signed into VAGCat or even Partsbase.

The latter gives you all VW and Audi models that the part was used on too.

Doh! How could I have forgotten about Vagcat!
Thanks for the link to Partsbase too.

My only concern now is that the listing still shows 5/115 following the part number. Doesn't this denote that it has 5 studs on a pcd of 115mm?

281615283A brake disc; 281X20 5/115

The description does not state specifically 6 bolt, but there are only two types.

Are you certain that the discs are the cause of your braking issues? I'm struggling to think of how they could actually cause poor braking, that's all. Judder, yes...
Mid engined, 6 cylinder, turbocharged 2 seater - it can only be a VW LT!
