New Wedgie, V5 Problems, Help!!!!!

   Hi all, and thanks for all your help so far.

Ive taken all your snippets of advice thus far and now whittled up this list of the order i have to do things,

1. Check that the stamped chassis number on the chassis itself, matches the chassis number on the plate behind the drivers door. If this matches then,

2. Contact VW milton Keynes and enquire about getting a VW 'birth Certificate' as proof of manufacture for the correct chasis number.

3. With this newly aquired certificate, contact the DVLA/VOSA about getting an age related plate and/or the Reg no the van was originally issued with.

Now i know I could do Steps one and two today, but, the van is currently 100 miles away at my dads house. To that end could anyone come up with detailed instructions as to where the stamped chassis number is so I can relay them on to my Dad who could then have a ganders for me (As i dont know where to look either!)

And also ive had a quick look online but cannot find the page to enter your details for a new birth certificate at VW HQ Milton keynes or the phone number to call. Can anyone help?
