Powder coating is probably your best bet

Powder coating isn't quite so good at resisting chipping.

If you can't galvanise and paint, then I would give it a good coat of a zinc rich primer like Galvafroid, top coat with Chassis Black Extreme, and then treat the interior with cavity wax.

thanks all, i suppose powder coating would sort the insides too but wonder if raptor paint would be the toughest coating? may end up waxing the inside and using quite a few coats of black paint over the original black paint

thanks for the reply , is that chassis paint as tough as Raptor paint or a Bedliner type paint?
