Afternoon everybody,

I recently bought a VW LT35E, 1988 petrol 2400 V6. it's got its issues straight off the blocks. I drove it home to Eastbourne from the Scottish Borders last week. All ok on the way down, apart from no power steering so it feels like a dump truck or something. I have a feeling the long drive has upset something and now it won't start, sitting outside my house. Presuming that I can get that sorted this week I am looking for a specialist mechanic in the Sussex area to give it the once over. Any clues on where to look??
Not only am I a newbie VW owner, I have only ever owned a motorbike before so EVERYTHING is new to me.
Thanks in advance

Welcome along Martin,

You will find more specific help in the LT Section but here are recommended garages from members' experience.

Good Garages

We would love to see a V6 but I suspect it is a straight 6

I had only worked on bikes too, so a big diesel is a laugh.

Hello Martin,
My very first post on here,I had the same problem with a van I had just bought and ended up disconnecting the battery, after every journey. That was last Autumn. It`s in storage at the moment.Did you find out what the problem was.I am hoping the answer is something simple there is definitely something draining the battery.
Thanks Wheezie
