well i`m back after my little jaunt in hospital. not a pleasent experiance and by all accounts a pretty serious illness. initially thought i`d just torn a muscle but within 4 days things were not good. not a lot of people have even heard of this bug myself included.
just about back on my feet even though most of my thigh is now missing. should make full recovery and most importantly should still be able to use the clutch, so an auto syncro will not be needed.

looking forward to vanfest as i missed bristol, gutted.
lee.

Sorry to hear about that Lee, but good that you're back up and about. I have a friend who had a similar experience a few years ago... he's made a full recovery and is (still) a top class endurance mountain bike racer. So don't lose hope! Smile

That flesh-eating thing that was all the rage a few years back?

Jesus! Glad to hear you're on the mend, that sounds nasty.

You are lucky to have had it caught in time - my daughter's great aunt had it and it wasn't diagnosed for a week - she died in 4 days.

That is one hell of a scary bug.
