I have a 1988 LT28 Camper and need an 'in tank' petrol pump for it. Any ideas gratefully received ?

Is it a carb model? if so just use a ticky pump like the ones on Ebay, donr mess about with in tank pumps, if its injection use an external inline pump also from ebay about £30 each

Thanks. I've been advised to get an in line pump as a back up. Apparently it will suck the fuel through the existing 'in tank' one without the need to remove/modify it etc. Does this sound OK to you? I am not sure if the pump is OK/reliable as I recently had a bad intermittent fuel delivery fault that has been traced (we think?) to a very contaminated tank. ie sludge blocking the pump itself ( fuel filters were not too bad) I want to get another pump just in case the fault turns out to be related to its performance as well. When you say 'ticky' pump, is this an electrical diaphragm pump you mean?
