Okay I'm now sorted with a Windows laptop and a USB OBD Cable.

I have 4 error codes.
Active Carbon Filter error - no surprise there as the valve and filter is in the cellar.
Vehicle Speed Signal Missing - again no surprise but will be fixed very soon
Intake Air Temp Open/Short - The wires look okay
Intake Air Temp electrical error.

How can I check if the temp sensor is working okay, is it likely to be some sort of thermistor device?
Should I expect to find 12v on one connector and ......

Cheers

I'm assuming you've cleared the codes, took it for a run and then tested again?

What engine is it? I'm assuming AGG since you've got OBD.

To test the wiring (assuming my wiring diagram is correct)

Test the resistance between pin 1 of the connector  (Green and blue wire) should  to pin 36 on the ECU plug, and pin 2 to the engine block ground. Both should be more or less 0 ohms. (1 maximum, ignoring the resistance of the multimeter leads)

My diagrams were incorrect - here's what autodata has to say:
Pin 1 on the sensor is a White and Yellow wire, and it goes to ECU pin 37. Pin 2 on the sensor is a Brown and Blue wire, and it goes to ECU pin 29. Test the resistance between the ECU connector pin and the sensor pin, you should get under a couple of ohms.

To test the sensor, stick the multimeter over both pins. I don't have the exact values off the top of my head, but it should read somewhere between 100 and 100k ohms - anything outside this and it's deffo completely shafted. Within these it might be OK or it might be out of calibration, but the ECU probably wouldn't claim it was open/short.

If you want an engine wiring diagram, there's some here:

No idea who hosts them, but I downloaded them for my conversion. He's password protected the file, but I cracked the password, its 4672.

It's an ADY motor.

The codes returned after resetting and a run.

The actual codes are:
0124730
0062516
0052330
00523157

Thanks for the diagrams, my motor is not on there.

IIRC ADY engines run the same ECU. I think that's what my AGG identifies itself as over vag com, too.

ADY's were a kind of hybrid - 2E internals, AGG fueling/intake
