Although I've had a few problems with the bus, which are well documented on the rest of the forum I wonder how rae is my bus?
Its a 2000 model on a 'W' plate and has the following;
7 seat caravelle, captains chairs in middle row rather tahn the usual bench
2.5 102 engine
Heated seats
Electric windows & roof
Driver & passenger airbags
Full leather
Twin sliding doors
Factory privacy glass
Air-con
Not seen any others with the leather. Any one know if theres a few others out there?

Nice one, seen some advertised on AutoTrader before as 'executive' models but never with the leather usually a dark blue velour interior instead.
Just thought, it also has a separate battery under the drivers seat with a small socket but I've no idea what its for. Can't find anything in the manual.
Also the auto box has the usual positions P,R,N,D but then it has two more positions further down the gate that I cant get it to engage. The picuture on the gate looks like a shoe
I'll try and take a picture and post them up.

Heres the pic's hopefully!
![]() ![]() This is the socket on the side of the drivers seat. Its a much smaller socket that the usual 12v fag lighter ones.
![]() This is the gear lever (obviously). Doesn't mention in the manual what the extra 2 positions are for in the manual and moving the lever through the gate it wont let me shift into them.
Any idea's????

I think the bottom bit used to have the same as the top, but with an N instead of P. It's just saying that you need to apply the brake to get out of N or P. The lever doesn't move down there.

never thought that it might just be a warning sticker, doh.Assume that this socket may have been retro fitted but what for? The adapter is smaller than normal. |

It's most likely the "Euro" socket....some "high end" plugs will fit both that and the std Ciggy one.
It's actuallly much better for high power use than the old style (that has been around for 30 years+!!!!).
Not to be too rude, but the plug that fits it looks like a midgets bell-end!

Does anyone have a parcel shelf for a caravelle? Want to use it with some foam for the kids to sleep on when we go to big bang with the awning for the missus and me.
