Jumped Ship to a Vito but I hear a 2021 T6 calling, only real difference is the Vito cab is more car like.

Cheers lads good to be here, the only question i have at the moment is ----- The t5 i have bought has been ply lined out, it is screwed in place through the floor, can this couse any damage e.g rust etc.????

Unfortunately it will cause the floor to rot around the screws, but mostly where they are exposed to lots of spray and salt. These screws will more than likely be the ones you can see from underneath, so give them coat of " waxol " and this should stop the corrosion. Van liners will tell you that the screws they use are galvanised, but the coating gets stripped off when they are driven through the vehicles body. Still cant get my head around drilling holes in the floor of a new vehicle !!. Don't worry andy, this corrosion will take several years to rot the area around the screw right out.
