   been reading throu all topics and wondering if i have made the right choice 
i have a 1990 LT28 2.4 petrol old mini bus with 36000 kms on the clock needs a bit of tidying and hand brake sorting now a bit of an oil leak ...any probs inherant with this engine ...please help!!!!!!!
this is my first moter after passing my test so bit of a novice

	The right choice, course you have, don't worry. On the engine side of life give it regular oil changes and a engine flush every now and then. Also check your water levels/antifreeze as I have heard that overheating can sometimes be a problem.

	Not had no dealings with a petrol but it should be ok just dont let it overheat as i think its a 6cylinder so might have the same head problems as the diesel when they get 2 hot. Mike

	Hi Our van is a 1983 Lt31 2.4 6cyl Petrol and we have never had overheating problems with it we think it is a good engine so you should be ok!! We change the oil and filters every year and When we first got it we changed the plugs/leads/dizzycap/rotor/points & condesor and also had the cambelt done that was about 6 years ago We used to tow a caravan with it when we first got it as it was a minibus with a tail lift in so we put our stationary engines in it but then we decided to convert it to a camper and tow a trailer instead. We get around 18mpg on a run at an average speed of 55mph which isn't bad for a large brick on wheels!! Cheers Simon & Kirsty Edited by moocow
