How do you choose which set of second hand clubs to buy? They all look the same to me.

depends how much you want to spend, what 'level' of player you are. your height can play a part in it to. so many factors to consider really. Personally, i would go for one of the top makes - ping, callaway etc,

shaft flex comes into it too, go for regular flex and you cant go wrong really (you can also get stiff shafts (lol) or a 'whippy' flex - cant remember the correct term for those)

I've not played for few yrs mind you, so they prob have 'evolved' a lot since then.

If your a beginner, go for a nice set of 'oversized' heel n toe weighted jobbies like ping Zing --- somebody will probably be along and tell me i'm talking bollocks tho.

I remember being told to try and avoid 'blades' unless your at a good level ....

i bought a second hand set of ping zing 2's about 15 yrs ago for £400 ---- been amazing clubs :)

Just bought a set of Wilson's for £37 with a bag. Will be hitting the driving range tomorrow after cleaning and waxing the car. Whoop.

i generally buy a set from a car boot for a fiver, use them once, put them in the shed, then give them to charity a year later.
