Hi all I have a fan heater on the floor below the fridge in my 2011 T5.1

I have just installed a new 120ah leisure battery and everything works except the fan heater.

Is there a common way these are wired in regarding fuses location etc as I can't see why it doesn't work. I removed it and the wiring looks brand new with no discolouration/signs of overheating etc.

My camper conversion is on a swb with fridge behing driver's seat and fan heater below fridge.

Cheers Jim

Forgot one more question

Do I need hook up before the fan heater will work because of the load?

If your fan heater is a mains voltage heater (most likely, as an electric heater running on 12V would drain the battery very, very quickly), then yes, you will need to hook up to mains power to run it for any length of time (even with an inverter it will simply draw too much current to run on 12V).

Most people that want to heat their camper vans off-grid use diesel heaters.
