Hello!

I have a 1978 VW LT31 2,0 petrol with a Solex 35 PDSIT carburettor. As long as I have owned it, it has been guzzling fuel and on the latest MOT it had 9% CO-emissions.

Today I found an empty hole in the carburettor where the Pilot Jet is supposed to be located. I have found a company that sells new jets for a reasonable prize, but I don't know which size jet I should get.

Does anyone of you know which size of the pilot jet is standard for this application?

Best regards

I once had a Volvo 360. the speedometer wire was broken so i dont know the consumption, but i took it to a carburettor spesialist. they repaired the carburettor and ajusted the ignition and the consumption was redused with about 50% and it also went much faster. The cost for the repair i had saved in less then a year.
so take it to a spesialist and it will be a much smooter ride.
