Sliding door keeps popping open!

   hi guys! So I’ve just picked up a 1984 t3 transporter but unfortunately I can’t drive it anywhere as the sliding door keeps popping open. 
The latch at the rear of the sliding door is unrepairable. I’ve seen a couple of t3 enthusiasts and they have told me that I’d need a new part. But I can’t find one anywhere! Can anyone point me in the right direction? 

The part number is 252843603A
