Sure is better than nothing. Money comes and more often goes, but you only get one pair of eyes (well, most of us anyway). The lidl one has 2 sensors by the looks and goes from level 9-13, 0.0002secs auto darkening. Maybe it's worth spending a few quid more to get a better mask? Still cheap example SIP meteor 2300 has 4 sensors, shade 4-13 including arc (really useful), plasma and grind modes, is twice as quick at 0.0001secs auto darkening and seems to have a larger screen. Bonus of the lidl is the LED light (although not sure if that little LED is bright enough to be of use) and 3 year warranty (keep that receipt!). The SIP uses batteries which are replaceable, many masks have built in cells that if not solar charged in a while die and can't easily be replaced if at all - so that's worth checking. SIP were good when my head band broke They quickly sent me a new one gratis, no hassle. Not trying to sound like a smart arse...

Just got one of the lidl one pretty good for the money, LED only comes on in dark which is good as it saves the battery, but threw me as it didn't come on when switched on until put in the dark.
