Hi Guys,

Looking for a reputable company to supply an exchange unit for my 1998 Audi A6 2.5TDI.
Never had to buy one before and prices seem to vary from £100 - £300+.

Cheers
Andy

if it's just the cartridge you need and you're able to get the turbo off search for that..  replacing the cartridge of vanes can be easier / cheaper than getting a remanufactured one

Yeah I've seen the cartridges but the garage recommends against them cos it could be something else.
Paying labour twice could even be more expensive.
Also most of the ads I've seen say that the turbo must not have been opened to be good for exchange.

Ok, will not rev over 3k, closer you get to 3k the slower the acceleration gets.
Scanned with VCDS Lite and got 2 error codes MAF & MAP.
Changed MAF & Air filter, vac pipes first - no change apart from MAF code disappeared.
Last week garage changed fuel filter, MAP sensor, injector leak off pipes - MAP code still there as of yesterday.
Actuator moves as expected with vac guage, as does EGR.
Seemed a bit better after the visit to garage but yesterday back to normal.
Starts well when cold, but if you leave it for 30mins or so, spins over for ages before starting.
Also on the way home I go up a long fairly steep hill in 3rd @ 30mph, almost ran out of steam towards the top.
Don't think I've missed anything, garage recons it's fueling ok so turbo probs.

Any thoughts are most welcome.

Cheers

Andy

P.S. Fitted genuine Bosch parts.
