Hej hej!

Had our LT28 Sven Hedin Westfalia for a year now and had a close eye on the forum for a number of tings.

Bought her down the Black Forest of March last year and took the journey up to Umeå ,Sweden. For those, like me at the time, that aren't aware of how long Sweden is, it was a f*ing mission. No major issues along the way and she just goes aye.
Full service book and rust free job done a few years back so she's in near mint condition.
Once we had her home the timing belt was changed and a full service done, oil, filters and that. Flew threw the registration check and MOT, to be Swedish registered.
All in all it seems like we picked up a sweet deal.

We're now based out in Åre, Jämtland with no mechanics that seem interested in helping us out, whilst im pretty good on the electrics side I've never really spent much time with engines and the rest, but keen to have a gander.

Ill be here looking for advice along the way.

Tjena. Velkommen til det eneste ikke-tyske LT forumet med noe aktivitet.
Welcome to the only non-german LT forum with some activity. Yes Sweden is long, but Norway is longer. We discoverd that when we bought Our 87 Karmann LT L With the 75hp DW diesel engine in Tromsø 3 years ago. Insted of driving the shortest way home to Oslo of just 1750km, we took the coastal rout with 10 ferries. It was just 2000km. From your naboring town, Stjørdal, we folowed the border to Sweden for abouT30km before starting to head mor west. A wery Nice trip
I think you should try to find a smal garage, and not a Volvo, Saab, VW or Toyota garage. The engine should be wel known to most mecanics in sweden as it is almost identical to the one in Volvo 240. The rest of the camper is easy macanics. Pleas ad to Your avatar some thing like: 85 LT28 Sven Hedin 75hp DW then it is easyer to help you.
