Hey guys, just bought a 1991 LT 35. Was hoping to fit a double seat in the passenger side instead of the single and wanted to ask if anyone on here has done that before?

Would an LT 28 double seat fit the 35? If not, does anyone know any alternatives?

Cheers in advance!
Stuart

Seats from a '91 LT28 should be same as a '91 LT35. Any year upto '96 when they stopped producing the Mk1 will fit. You'll need to get ALL the mounting parts if / when you get the bench seat. There are three + 7 or 8 bolts, 3or4 hex heads 4 allen heads. The threaded bolt holes should already be present in your van/truck. The bench sits on it's subframe which is bolted down next to the passenger door with the two hex head bolts. There are two catches similar to the boot lock on a hatchback polo attached to the subframe which latch onto 2 other mounted bolts when the seat is lowered from the up position. It lifts up to give access to the engine compartment. Older LT's had a higher engine and cover and are not able to accommodate the bench seat, but a '91 should be OK for it.

Awesome, thank you for the quick response and the information. Hopefully the search for a double will be more achievable now!

Cheers,
