Hello I am new to the group.
I got my van about a year ago after being in some garden for 10 years not moving. It needs everything. It was a 1.6D now build a gti engine for it. It's got new brakes all round. Been welded all round. Now after new suspension and a injection fuel tank. |

Hi All. I have recently (about a month ago) acquired a 1985 7 seater Transporter 1.9 DG T35. The van was initially imported the Ministry of Power and Energy, Department of Renewable Energy. It was driven about some 70k Km and then laid up in an open yard to be auctioned off. I do not know for how many years it stood in the said yard but during its hiatus, it seems that it was raided for parts. During the auction it was purchased by a dealer who got it running (just about) and sold it on. The van changed a few hands before it ended up with me. From the history above you may have gathered that by now there is much wrong with it. Hence me joining up here to use your vast knowledge to get it back in shape.

Hi New to the forum and just got my first T3. Wanted a Westfalia for a while and finally picked up a 1985 Westy in Grey / Blue last weekend from Edinburgh. Had a cheeky stop over on the way home and 350 miles later it was safely tucked up south of the border again. When i work out how to upload some pics ill do that.
