Its very quiet in here these days, & couldn't find in search.
Anyone shed some light on the throttle damper on a 1.9td? Is it OK to remove? what are (if any) the implications? read about people doing it, but still not much info on what it actually does. ...sometimes I can barely manage to get up a small incline in low revs with my foot on the floor. Then revs pick up...eventually.

Seems to be much worse when cold.
Would a knackered damper make the throttle stick on? Edited by doomdub - 12 Dec 17 at 09:09 |

Nope, the dampers are normally knackered - bin it.
Wont solve your problem though - reckon the throttle cable is goosed. Turn the fuel up, set the boost at 15 psi with a mumby developments controller or adjusting the actuator on the wastegate and the van will be transformed. Ignore the voices.

Boost controller sold on Ebay by mumby developments - cheap, simple and they work, I always recommend them, nothing to do with me though. Shame I'm not on commision, as I've fitted loads that have been bought as a result.
Thought I had posted on there, think you posted the same thing in two places???
