I would be tempted to strip the drum off first as I have had this issue with low effort.....fine when you pump the brake though....
Turned out to be the auto adjusters seized up and nor allowing the pads to fill out the drum as they wear.......... Your pads may be ok........If so that's your dilemma gone, failing that you have one out to nip to GSF etc to match up.... I would be tempted to buy a whole new spring set as they do weaken and don't allow the auto adjuster not to work correctly.... RW

The LT 28 and 31 have the same drums size as the T3, the LT 35E has the same drum size as the T3 Syncro 16. 252 and 270mm. But The LT 28-31 has 25,4mm pistons where the T3 has 23,81 and i think the LT 35E has 26,8mm
Strangely Brickwerks doesn't seem to know that there are 2 different drum sizes on the light LTs |

Ensure that the oil seal at the back of the hub isn't weeping, the axle oil may be getting through......
Try brake parts cleaner, the dissolves the oil really well. If you strip and clean the adjuster thingies only light oil in those too, normal grease quickly solidifies due to the heat and ceases them again.... And yes the adjusters are a pain in the ass........brickwerks do a special tool for them though which may ease things.....don't forget when your spinning the wheel to press the brakes to re-align them also......its not just about the spinning lol RW

Brake shoes for 35E are 270x66mm
Brake drums for the twin wheels are 290mm Here are the fu#ยค%& brake shoes for the LT35E: https://www.brickwerks.co.uk/lt-parts/brakes/brake-shoes-t3-syncro-16-lt1.html When it comes to the Wheel cylinders it seems that Syncro 16 and LT 28-31 both uses 25,4mm http://busschmiede.de/shop/T3-Radbremszylinder-1-verstaerkt-passend-fuer-Syncro-16-2-WD-u-4WD-14_1 but i think you also could use the 27mm http://busschmiede.de/shop/T3-Radbremszylinder-27mm-extra-verstaerkt_1 |
