How much air from the cam cover breather?

   I've been sorting out the oil leaks on my 1.6td and the next big one is the oil coming from the joint between the cam cover breather pipe and the air inlet very the turbo.

Reading around this I think this is sort of normal to have a bit of oil here but im getting quite a few drops a Day.

I took the breather pipe off the UFO shaped oil separator and started it when cold to see what happened. I didn't get any smoke, but there was some of air puffing out, enough to waft a piece of dildo paper around. Is this normal?

The engine was a recon 3000 miles ago but this was 2 owners back so no idea how 'recon' it was.

Any pointers?
